Andy’s been a Realtor® since 1977. He holds three designations from the National Association of Realtors® : “CRS” (that’s Realtor® talk for “Certified Residential Specialist”); “ABR” (more Realtor® talk which stands for “Accredited Buyer Representative”) and he’s a “GRI” (“Graduate of the Realtor® Institute”).
A resident of Boise since 1962, he’s an active “selling broker” with a very strong “hands on” involvement with all of the office transactions.
He was named “Realtor® of the Year for the State of Idaho” in 1996 (and was also named “Realtor® of Ada County” in 1987). He was also honored as a recipient of the Omega-Tau-Rho “Medal of Service” award from the National Association of Realtors® and was a recipient of the Distinguished Service Award” from the Ada County Association of Realtors® (ACAR).
A life member of ACAR’S “Circle Of Excellence”, he’s also a long term member of both Ada County’s and the State’s “Honor Society”.
Andy has been president of both the Ada County Association of Realtors® which represents the Realtors® in Boise, Eagle, Kuna, Meridian and Star. He was also president of the Idaho Association of Realtors® (IAR) which represents all the members in the state.
He served over 14 years as a member of the IAR Executive Committee and was also elected to serve as a National Director of the National Association of Realtors® for 4 years and then elected as NAR’S Regional Vice President representing the states of Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon & Washington on NAR’S Executive Committee.
Andy is currently serving as an Idaho Real Estate Commissioner being appointed to that position by Idaho’s Governor in 2005. He’s also certified by the state of Idaho to teach continuing education classes to real estate licensees which he does on a regular basis during the year.
A founding member of Idaho’s “Broker’s Council” in 1983 (a marketing organization for “independent” real estate offices in the Boise area). Over 30 real estate offices plus several title companies and mortgage lenders are members of the Brokers Council.
